This young lady comes in a lovely shade of dark grullo coloring with small partial hind coronet for white, she has lots of dun factor. We have given this young filly the barn name of Texas Hickory or Texas for short.
Texas has an absolutly gorgeous head on her, with wide set, big round kind eyes, she has a nice solid build, a good top line, with big hip, nice forearm and nice broad chest. She is also about as correct as they come, and has excellent thick bone. Add to all of that a very friendly, laid back and sweet disposition, she is easily one of my favorite fillys.
This young mares pedigree says cutting from one end to the other, with many champion and proven horses throughout. With her build, looks, pedigree and color she is a definate asset to our future breeding program. All the ground is done on this filly from tieing, feet handling, grooming, leading, loading to round pen lessons.
As of Feb 2005 this filly weighs in at 925 pounds. Texas has been started under saddle spring of 2005, and is proving that she is a very smart filly, and a extremely quick learner. Texas has a big powerful stride, and beautiful movement. Texas has been rode both indoors and out, alone and with other horses, up and down hills, over tracks, through bush, through water, down the road, over small jumps, tarps, and is accustome to dogs at feet, tractors, quads, vehicles etc., etc. Texas takes new things in stride and trys very hard to please. Texas will remain under saddle until she joins the broodmare band spring of 2006. |
