For serious enquireys, a amatuer video of the horse may be purchased for a 20 dollar shipping & handling fee, payable in advance. Please enquire about further details. PLEASE NOTE: we are not able to provide videos during winter months due to cold temperatures and poor lighting. Sorry for the inconvenience but due to mechanical failure we are unable to provide videos at this time.
Please note we are located in Canada, and therefore for canadian residents funds must be paid in Canadian Funds. For US sales all horses must be paid in

Please note we are required by law to charge GST on all livestock sales to Canadian Customers. Therefore GST will be added to the sale price of all horses without exception. If you have a registered gst number this will be refunded to you by the government. Our gst number will be on all sales reciepts for this purpose, and will be done so unless the buyer is gst exempt. US buyers exempt.
To our customers all our horses are represented in a honest manner and are sold as healthy and sound, unless otherwise noted, to the best of our knowledge.
Pre-purchase vet checks are welcome on all our horses, arrangements and payment for these services are that of buyer. Seller can provide veterinarian references for these services.
For across the border sales and where required, while we will do our best to accomodate and assist, ultimately travel arrangements, and border crossing requirements will be the responsibility of the buyer to arrange and pay for. Veterinarian services are required for US sales for the international health exam and coggins certificate, however while buyer pays these costs we will line up the vet services for these for our customers. Current costs for this are $ 185.00 US.
For US sales coggins certificates are good for 6 months from time of testing. International health certificates are good for 30 days from time of testing. Any horse requiring brand inspection & A1 transport papers these are good for 72 hours from time of inspection.
Short term payment plans are also available on " SOME" but NOT ALL horses offered for sale, and will be done so only by written contract. Contract is made agreeable to by both parties before entering into and is a binding contract. Again these contracts are legal and binding. Failure of buyer to meet all payment deadlines or requirements may result in forfeit of any monies paid. Payments must be made by post dated cheques for entire contract at time of sale. NSF cheques will be charged a 30 dollar fee. Seller will charge board for any horse not removed from property by end of contract at the sellers discretion. Due to some unscrupulous buyers these guidlines will be enforced, without exception.
Please note that any horse sold will remain the property of and upon the property of the seller until full payment of said horse, and or any monies owing to which were mutually agreed upon at time of sale for extended board, or otherwise.
All sales must be paid for by means of CASH, direct bank deposit, or Online Interac payment is also available. For across the border sales direct deposit can be arranged, there is a 15 US or 20 Canadian dollar fee for this service. If buyer must use other means such as bank draft or certified cheque, OUR BANK requires a 25 business day holding time for clearance for US customers & 10 business days for canadian customers,..... so please keep this in mind when making your purchase and choosing your means of payment. All US sales are to be paid in agreed amount in US dollars.
When purchasing riding stock please let us know what your true future purpose is for a particular riding horse, so that we may help to ensure that the horse you have chosen is suited for your purpose. We will do our best to help you make an informed decision, after all we do want our customers to be happy, so the more info you provide us with about the horse you seek the better I am able to help you with your purchase. I dont believe in Perfect Horses, Bomb Proof horses, or Perfect kids horses. While I may feel some individuals come close to these titles I will never refer to a horse as such myself. My reasoning is because I believe even the very best of trained and seasoned horses can spook at sometime at something unexpected, that horses are animals with minds of their own and therefore can be known to have, or display behavior totally unforseen & sometimes out of our control. We reccomend when buying riding stock from us or anyone, whether it be for adults, youth or children that you try them out first, and see for yourself if the horse is suited to your purpose, meets your individual riding style & that the two of you click both on the ground, and in the saddle. If this is not possible due to time or distance it may be possible to appoint an outside person to do this for you or videos can sometimes be available as well from sellers, though not always, but these too will help to give you some personal insight when distance prevents you from visiting in person.
With the info you provide we will be honest if we feel the horse you have enquired on does not meet your criteria, & may reccomend another horse in our sales ring that is more suited, or if we don't feel any of our horses are suited to your purpose, we will let you know that as well, and will try our best to help you located something else. If you find a horse that meets your criteria & your ready to purchase please feel free to have a prepurchase exam done, we here at Sherman Farms Grullo Quarter Horses welcome any prepurchase exam & while these are at buyers expense, will help you to line one up that meets your needs.
We guarantee to all our customers that they will recieve their paperwork in full, in a timely fashion, therefore all sales are done in writing to protect the customer and seller. We hereby state that we hold legal title to all horses sold and therefore have legal right to sale all horses free from any and all liens. Paperwork is guaranteed wether you are purchasing a horse, or stud services. We work hard to help make your buying experience with us pleasurable and to ensure that all sales meet any deadlines required for across the border sales. *For those purchasing under payment plan contract, we ask that you work equally as hard to ensure that you meet your deadlines, so that we can continue to provide this service for future customers.* Any buyer in default of his or her payment plan may find their name listed on site to warn other sellers of their fraudulent actions.
