This young quarter horse filly comes with a power packed world championship pedigree. Her dam is a NCHA money earner and still going strong at 20 years, her sire is a own son of Hollywood Dun It, he himself trained in reining but unshown due to a injury due to an unfortunate accident. Her pedigree is filled with Quarter Horses of Reining, Cutting and working cow. She's bred to perform and has the physical attributes to do just that. She is very agile and quick on her feet. She already displays a natural awesome sliding stop, can turn on a dime, and has all the cattyness she needs to work a cow. Disposition wise this little mare is a total sweetheart who loves her attention and expects and demands it from you. Always one of the first to meet you in pasture to get her share of attention.
We have given this filly the barn name of Lily. Lily has only a partial hind pastern for white on her and tons of dun factor, her dorsal has so many barbs it looks like she has three dorsal stripes, with big bold striping at the neck and withers as well. This young filly has dun factor to spare, and comes in a dark grullo coloring. Lily has an adorable baby doll head, and the beautiful long mane and tail that the Hollywood Dun It line is so well known for. She is going to be a very petite filly finishing out at 14.3 hands and aprox 950 pounds. This filly has a nice short back line, is solidly built, with clean throat latch, nice short pasterns, broad chest and a nice full hip on her. Not only a great pedigree of cutting, reining and cow, but wrapped in that wonderful grullo color she is a great asset to our breeding program.
Lily has already had all her ground work done from tieing, leading, feet handling, grooming, trailering, lunge lessons and has even been saddled in preperation for her continued training. As of Feb 2005 Lily weighs in at 850 pounds. Lily has been started under saddle and is proving to be a very good minded mount. She has been sacked out with plastic bags and tarps, she has been bathed. She has been rode indoors and out. Been over small jumps, over railroad tracks, over bridges, through trees, through water, up and down hills, down the road, over tarps, into shops, rode around dogs, vehicles, quads, tractors etc. This little mare has had lots of exposure to different stimuli and takes it all in stride. She might be small in stature, but she has a wicked high gear of speed! |
