Down the line from here you will find Poco Bueno, Driftwood, King,
Lightning Bar, Power Command and Poco Tivio to name a few. He has some awesome dun factor in both the palomino coloring as well as the chocolate palomino coloring. His tail and mane are silver and both have a black base to them making for a very unique look.

Chex comes from a long line of working cow, and ranch using horses mixed in with that some old time performance breeding. His sire is reportedly very cowey and athletic and is currently furthering his show career in cutting.
Chex is an awesome minded horse always willing to work and trys hard to please, I can't say enough good about this boy. With a little more specific training geared towards reining this fella could take you to the pay window, he also has potential as a rope horse or just a super nice all around type of mount.
Chex has a handsome head, a beautiful neck line, great balance, nice forearm and a very muscular build, with a big full hip on him and very good bone.
We were going to keep him a stallion but have decided with the loss of so many mares to lightning this summer that we would downsize and offer him up for sale therefore the choice was made to geld him and offer him up as a gelding verses a stallion.
Chex was started under saddle in February of 2004 and has been professionally trained, he has 9 + months training. Chex has been rode indoors and out, been out on the trail alone and with other horses. He has been through an obstacle course, despooking program, had a rope thrown off of him, dragged tarps. been over small jumps, over railroad tracks. rode down the road, through bush, and takes everything in stride. He has been rode both english, bareback but mostly western. Loads, bathes, clips and ties, current on all health care such as deworming, vaccinations including west nile and up to date on farrier work. He is a willing mount with big stop, and has a great disposition. He is an easy keeper and gets along well with other horses. We believe that Chex will eventually turn grey now as his mane and tail are darkening as well as his legs and underside, all his dun factor points are still very visible and we believe he will not grey quickly.
Chex should mature at 15 hands. He has even been rode by my little kids and was a gem about it. trying very hard to follow their jumbled up cues as they don't know how to ride yet. If your looking for a type of horse that will make a great family horse who can work for dad and yet is good with the kids too, this is the guy, he also loves riding outside so will make an awesome trail horse as well, a great 4H project too. Chex is the kind of horse that anyone could ride.
This is not a very good picture and really doesnt do Chex any justice as he has a beautiful head with big kind eye. Chex has a very want to please disposition and loves his people attention.
