* POCO ANNES PEPPY * : 2003 SCHA Champion Novice/Novice Ranch Horse, 2003 Reserve Champion Novice Horse. Grand Champion Aggregate at Lloydminster cutting, winner of the Huber Memorial Award for 2003, Grand Champion Junior Horse Battleford Saskatchewan. Won Cold Lake Junior Reining  and Meadow Lake, Sask. Novice Reining Classes at Winter Cow Horse Circuit. Points earner in the Saskatchewan Cutting Horse Association as well as the Saskatchewan Heritage Circuit. With limited training and showing he has earned points, ribbons, awards, prizes and money in cutting, reining, western riding, western pleasure and trail. He also spent the winter of 2004 being used as a school horse where he was rode both western & english and took part in jumping as well.
Sire: Peppy Canelo is a Performance Points Earner and was shown in halter, reining, working cow horse, and trail. He was known to throw sons with natural cow eating ability. He has also produced money earning get in NRHA, performance points earners, and a holder of an Amateur Performance ROM.
Dam: Pocos Fancy Anne although not shown herself, produced performance points earners, and money earners with the NRHA. She was known for throwing strong, high percentage of grullo color on her foals.
Grandsire: Peppy San Badger was a World Champion, NCHA CUT 3 times,Reserve World Champion, ' 80 NCHA Open NCHA money-earner, Bronze, Silver, Gold,Platinum. ROM in Performance, '78 O Performance Point Earner, inducted in the Hall of Fame, NCHA Total Points Earned: 41; Perf Points: 41; NCHA Earnings: $172,711
Granddam: Randado Glo has an ROM in performance, and was a halter point earner as well as, a producer of points earners.
Grandsire: Poco Nifty Pep was a performance point earner as well

We are proud to introduce to you our stallion  Poco Annes Peppy or barn name
Badge a registered Grullo Quarter Horse. We brought Badge up in January 2003 from Belle, Missouri. He has awesome dun factor & very unique color. Because his color is so unique we had him genetically tested. Genetics tests have proven that despite his unique color appearance, he is Grullo, & not dun or line back buckskin. He also throws his unique color as well. Badge is a 99 model that stands 15 hands and weighs aprox 1250 pounds. 
He has an attractive head with short foxy ears, & a big kind eye. He is very correct with thick bone, a refined neck line, clean throat latch, good hock set, a nice chest, full square hip,  solid feet, a good forearm with good overall balance & substance. Added to that he has a very good mind, good ground manners, & is nice to handle with no vices. He throws his wonderful disposition on to his foals. He's a real gentleman with the ladys and can be hand or pasture bred and is good with the foals as well. His unique color is just icing on the cake.
Despite having an accident that left him with a serious injury as a one year old, he has remained sound. Badge came to us just barely started and his old injury did inhibit his movement, this past injury left him with a large scar where a large  portion of muscle is missing from his chest along with some scar tissue. However with limited training he has shown us he is more than capable of making a mark for himself, see above for Badge's accomplishments.  Badge has a long powerful stride that can really cover ground, as well as making for a very smooth ride in the saddle. Badge has big time stop to him, & can really get under himself, he's very athletic, keen, & shows lots of natural cow sense. He carries himself in a very proud & poised manner added to that his unique color, & he can really stand out in a crowd. Badge's good disposition allows him to take everything in stride with a calm demeanor & level head, nothing much seems to phase him.
We look forward to watching his get mature & hope to see them in the show rings, as well as every day use. With his diverse pedigree and his versatility they should inherit traits to excel in almost any discipline. We have nominated him to a couple of incentive funds so that his foals will be elligable to compete. We would like to thank everyone who chose to breed to Badge, and wish them much success with their offspring. Badge was not shown in 2004 due to our trainer breaking her leg and then starting a family.
We are very pleased with Badge's offspring not only is he throwing wonderful color and size, but athletic ability, cute heads, and overall smarts, with super friendly dispositions. All of Badge's 2004 & 2005 foals will be elligable for the  the

These photos were taken April 23, 2004. Badge is coming up on 5 this year, he has really filled out over the winter and put on some nice substance.  This photo above most accuratly portrays Badge's true coloring currently, however even your computer may show the color differently then the photo I have used and published on my computer. Anyone who has ever tried to photograph a Grullo horse knows how hard it is to capture their true color on film and how much lighting, picture developing, and computer settings can alter the coloring from the original true color of the horse.

Kanadiana International Equestrian Center for all her hard work in Badge's first show season.Carole did a excellent job with our stallion to go out and start showing and competing with only 4 months under saddle in which to get him started and ready. Thank you for a great 2003 year of accomplishements in the show ring. 
We would also like to thank Badge's rider Josh Kirzinger who rode him throughout most of the novice/novice ranch classes in 2003. Also a big thank you to Tonya Williamson for finishing up the year on Badge and taking him to his Championship title in his class with the SCHA. We wish everyone continued success in their careers in the horse industry.
